Jo is an author, ghostwriter and writing coach. Her books, short stories, features and award-winning radio work have been published and broadcast internationally.
For her, it’s perfectly possible to write business material with playful, inventive flair.
“It’s time to rid the business world of half-baked books!” Jo Collie
She blends twenty years’ experience as Head of Creative for several international media groups with over a decade of university lecturing in Creative Writing and authorship.
As a writing mentor and speaker, Jo shows entrepreneurs and non-business authors how to improve every aspect of their creative writing.
As an experienced ghostwriter, she’s the go-to expert at ‘doing the slog’ for coaches, speakers, business owners and those with a story to tell. All but one of her nineteen published books (eight of them ‘traditionally published’) have other people’s names on them, branding them as experts in their field.
Jo has quite literally written the book on “Ghostwriting”. In 2018, WARNERS GROUP commissioned her to write the coursebook of the same title.
“Most self-branders understand the value of having a book to market and they want one that’s professionally written, edited and published. They just don’t have the time or the skills to do it justice themselves,” she says. “I help them with my ghostwriting, mentoring and speaking engagements.”
When she’s not writing, Jo loves digging up long lost histories, getting out into Nature and losing herself in theatre and music. She’s a professional voice artist and session vocalist, with lots of tales of gigs she’s performed with artists you’ve definitely heard about … but more that you probably haven’t.
